SketchDeck projects run through steps to get you great design efficiently. Our systematic approach to design is one of our biggest differences. Here we'll explain a little more about it.
What are steps and why do we have them?
Very few projects can go from brief to complete in one pass. Steps are the building blocks for your project, guiding it to completion.
You can see where your project is at any time by logging into SketchDeck and opening up your project.
The steps of a project
Projects often go through more than one round of work in a single step. This is an iteration.
For example, if we create a style sample and you don't like it, you should provide your feedback and we will create another sample for you.
Steps have iteration limits (by clicking the billing link from the bottom of your main project page, you will see a log of work done and how many iterations you have left). We charge by the hour for work over the limit, but our system will warn you when you are nearly out of included iterations.
How to move projects to the next step
Once you are happy with the design in a given stage, you can progress it forward. You do this by providing your comments on the design tasks screen, then pressing send to design team. You then have the option for "more work in current stage" or "move forward to the next stage".
Only move forward to the next stage when you are happy with the design of the current stage.
