FAQs

What design projects do you work on?

We support many companies from startups to the enterprise with everyday marketing design. Examples include: building brand guidelines; creating all the materials required for an event (presentations, collateral, booth, etc.); content marketing design; presentation decks of all forms (sales, all hands, pitch, board, etc.); emails and landing pages.

What plan is right for me?

If you are a team with 1 - 2 design needs per month, our Team plan is likely the right plan for you. If you have more than 3 design needs per month, you have mostly production needs, or you want a solution that works across multiple teams, the Business plan is likely the best plan. If you have upwards of 10 projects per month, get in touch about our Enterprise plan. We have a friendly and knowledgeable team who can help you pick the right plan - get in touch here.

How much time does a project take?

A typical first project is between 15 and 25 hours work. Repeat projects in the same style are typically between 5 and 15 hours. Large campaigns and complex projects will be upwards of 25 hours.

What do you need to start a project?

To get started, you just need your un-designed content (sketches, rough PowerPoint, word doc, etc.), a description or examples of what you're looking to achieve and a credit card for payment. If you want us to follow your brand, we need a copy of your brand guidelines too. Our speciality is design - we do not create or edit your content.

What is collaborative project feedback & sharing?

As part of the SketchDeck membership, you get access to our design collaboration platform. This enables you and your team to see all the design files in your web browser; share them with your team; and add feedback directly on the design. No more endless email threads trying to describe the changes you need!

What is a brand page?

Our brand page showcases your brand and provides directions to designers. On our paid memberships, we will create this for you as part of your on-boarding. You can optionally make these pages public, for example here's our brand page.

What is a consistent design team?

On our paid memberships, we match you to a group of designers led by a project manager. This same team will work on all your projects to provide greater consistency and more efficient design execution.

What is express delivery?

Our standard turnaround times are already fast - typically 1 - 3 days. We know that sometimes you need to work even faster. With express delivery, we move your work to the top of the queue and deliver in 12 - 36 hours for standard size projects. We charge a 50% premium for this service.

What is the production service?

Production projects are focused on tidying up content and ensuring it's on brand (and in the template where applicable). We can only do this with clients whose brand we understand and work with regularly which is why this is reserved for our business and enterprise plans.

What is an account team?

On our Business and Enterprise plans we provide an account team. This includes a Project Manager, Design Director and Account Executive. They are there to help you and your team to get the most out of SketchDeck. You'll typically check in with your Project Manager once per month and have a more in-depth account review at least once per year.

What is on-boarding?

On our paid membership plans, we formally on-board you to SketchDeck. This involves understanding your brand, training your team and identifying templates and similar that need to be created. On our Enterprise plans we can do the on-boarding onsite.

What are teams?

By default, every user you add to your SketchDeck account can see all the projects your team creates (unless you make them private). Teams allows you to split up your account to give you more control as to who sees what. Users can be part of multiple teams. This feature is available on our Business and Enterprise plans.
